    Milan has 2 airports: Malpensa and Linate.
    Ryanair operates from Bergamo airport ('Orio al Serio Airport'), about 50 km from Milan.

    Malpensa is the main international airport, about 50 km from Milan.
    It has 2 terminals. Terminal 1 handles most of the domestic and international flights.

    Malpensa Airport train
    The Malpensa Express train is the most convenient way to travel between Milan Central Station and Malpensa Airport. The train operates between 4.28 in the morning till 0.28 at night. The journey to Central Station takes 52 minutes. The train also stops at 7 other stations including Milano Bovisa, Milano Cadorna (near Duomo/Fashion District) and Milano Garibaldi. At night there is a bus service. A single ticket from Milan to the airport cost €11 (Februari 2012). Special price tickets (temporary?) from Central Station are €7. Tickets can be bought from ticket offices and self-service machines. Between the 2 terminals of Malpensa Airport, a free shuttle bus is available every 20 minutes, 24h a day.

    From Terminal 1 exit6, departs several bus services to Milan.
    Bus fares vary between €5 - €9. Usually there are 2-3 buses every hour.
    The Malpensa Shuttle Air Pullman has services between 05.30 to 00.15

    Linate Airport
    Linate Airport is close to the center of Milan (7km). It handles mainly flights within Italy and to some European cities. Easyjet has flights from Linate Airport to London Gatwick and Paris Orly Airport. Ryanair's flights are from Bergamo airport.
    There is no train from Linate Airport to Milan centre. Several bus companies operate between Linate Airport and Milan Central Station. Bus fare is €3 for a single ticket. Usually in daytime there are 2 busses every hour. Cheapest transportation to Milan is the public bus number 73 to the metro station at Piazza San Babila. Fare is only €1, tickets can be bought in kiosks and tobacco shops. The taxi fare to the centre of Milan is about €15-20.
